Currently living in: Belton, TX (United States)

After living one and a half years in Finland and 8 years in the New Orleans Metro Area, Kathy, husband Joni, daughter Serena (now almost 5), and dog Crosley saddled up and moved to Belton, Texas, in Summer 2008. Joni Ylostalo, Ph.D., is continuing as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Temple, doing research on adult stem cells. Kathy has been taking a break from teaching to gain experience in Human Resources and Grants Administration, in addition to enjoying motherhood. She plans to return to the classroom in the fall of 2010, teaching 5th grade science at Jefferson Elementary in Temple.
